What is STRONG?
STRONG is just strength training! This program is aimed at two populations:
1. Complete beginners who would like to be introduced to resistance training in a safe environment with a Weightlifting Ireland certified coach
2. Individuals who already get enough aerobic conditioning through sport or other training methods and wish to get a little stronger.
The sessions are 1 hour in length and groups are kept small in numbers, to ensure we have a coaches’ eye on everyone in attendance. The programs are designed by certified strength and conditioning coaches in a progressive overload manner, which basically means a gradual progression in resistance loading. Each session will cover a major compound lift (Squat, Deadlift or Press) and then coupled with two assistance exercises and a functional core element that guarantees a full body strength session on each day. Coaches are able to scale and adapt movements for those who may find it difficult, but also increase the difficulty if you find it too easy.
